AMY GOODMAN at ST. MICHAEL'S COLLEGE – OCT. 2
Amy Goodman is the Keynote Speaker at the Annual Peace Pledge Ceremony at St. Michael's College commemorating the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, Sunday, Oct. 2 at 3 pm at the McCarthy Arts Center. Goodman is the host and executive producer of the award-winning news program, "Democracy Now!" She is also the author of four New York Times best- sellers. Come early to hear Joss Price and Akoma Drummers.

BURLINGTON & RUTLAND

  • CONCERTS AT NOON -St. Paul's Cathedral, Cherry Street, Burlington - "Noon to One" series – free concerts, open to all; bring a bag lunch.
  • 10/4 - James Gram, guitar. James will play works including music by J.S. Bach, Frank Martin, and the great Spanish guitarist-composers Fernando Sor and Francisco Tarrega.

CONCERT TO RAISE FLOOD RECOVERY FUNDS
Three Christian bands will play at this concert on Sat., 10/29, 6 pm, at the Roadside Chapel in Rutland. A free-will offering will be taken. The funds will support the work of Samaritan's Purse and their flood recovery ministry. For more details, go to: www.neumc.org/news/detail/686

EPISCOPAL BISHOPS' PASTORAL TEACHING

RED CROSS NEEDS BLOOD DONORS
Please consider donating blood at a Red Cross donor center. In Burlington, the center is at 32 North Prospect St. and it's open from 9 – 6. Walk-ins are welcome or call 658-6400 for an appointment. Free movie passes are given to donors. Find out more at: www.newenglandblood.org

CHRISTMAS WREATHS from GREEN MT. MONASTERY
The Green Mountain Monastery and Thomas Berry Sanctuary offer wreaths made with balsam that is hand-harvested from their own trees. REMINDERS: TAIZE SERVICE AT CATHEDRAL CHURCH OF ST. PAUL
